在经济理论的指导下，在经济热点讨论课上对一系列经济热点问题进行了讨论，涉及目前的经济危机，就业，经济增长，外贸，汇率，石油等诸方面。
始于美国的次贷危机先是导致了全球的金融危机，进而发展成经济危机的确值得人们认真地思考。是什么引发了这次危机呢？原因是多方面的，美国政府缺乏对金融部门必要的监管，名目繁多的金融衍生品的创造，杠杆作用的利用，等等。一些问题值得人们的反思：政府对国家的经济活动采取不干涉态度是否正确？美国人的今天花明天的钱，及时行乐的观念是否值得提倡？
关于汇率体系，概括起来如下:金本位制，使用于1870至1914年之间，强调各国的汇率要和黄金挂钩。浮动汇率制，使用于1918至1939年之间，允许各国汇率自由浮动，由于英国经济的快速发展，当时很多国家将汇率与英镑挂钩。布雷顿森林体系，即固定汇率制，使用于1944至1973，多国汇率与美元挂钩。由于美国经济的崛起，美元取代了英镑的地位，成为全球的主要商品媒介，记账单位，具有储藏价值。管理浮动体系，从1973年开始至今。中国过去实行的是固定汇率制，跟美元挂钩。现在实行的是管理浮动汇率制。由于中国积累起较大的贸易顺差，以美国日本为首的一些国家一再要求人民币升值，人民币对美元等外币逐渐升值，现在1美元大约等于6.4左右人民币。 |

A range of hot economic issues have gone into discussion in the discussion class under the direction of economic theory, which involve various aspects such as the recent financial crisis, the unemployment, the growth of economy, foreign trade relationship, exchange rate, and the petroleum and so on..
The subprime crisis originated in America first leads to the global financial crisis, and then evolves into a whole economic crisis. This phenomenon should definitely draw us close attention and think it deeply as to what it is that has triggered the crisis? The answer can be sought from many perspectives, mainly the lacking necessary supervisition and management of the American government to the financial department, too much creation of financial derivatives，and the misuse of the lever action and something like that. Some of the problems are worthy of our reflection: is it the right attitude of no interference the government has taken towards the national economic activities? Is it worth encouraging the American people’s concept of enjoying life in no time by using tomorrow’s money?
Exchange rate system can be summarized as follows: the gold standard, which was in use during 1870 to 1914, was emphasizing that the exchange rates in different countries should be linked with gold; the floating exchange rate system being in effect form the year 1918 to 1939 allowed the exchange rate floating freely between nations. During that period many countries link the exchange rate with British pound sterling since Britain developed the fastest in economy. The Breton Woods system, namely fixed exchange rate system, was formulated in 1944 and up to 1973 and the exchange rate was linked to U.S. dollars. Ever after the rise of America’s economy, the U.S. dollar has taken the place of Britain pound sterling, and has become the main commercial media and unit of account , nonetheless, it holds stored value; the managed floating system, remains in use from 1973 up till now. China used to implement the fixed exchange rate system linked with U.S. dollars, while now adopts managed floating system. Some nations headed by America and Japan ask for RMB appreciation repeatedly seeing that China has accumulated relatively large trade surplus, and there is gradual appreciation of RMB against U.S. dollars. Now 1 dollar equals approximately 6.4 RMB.
