ⅠThe printing setup
Choose the [menu] list when you choose menu list,please press the [menu] button,then press the [up] and [down],then choose the menu list or options appears , press [select]. According to the different options of menu list,you can press the [menu] button to return back.
Ⅱ.The setup of language
1.Press [main menu→setup menu→user setup→language].
2.Press [selcet].
3.Press [up] or [down] until it appears the options you want.
4.Press [select].
Ⅲ.To choose [main menu→setup menu→user setup→init settings], it will make all the printing options back to the init settings and delete all the saved settings.
Ⅳ. Print settings
To choose [setup menu→user setup→print setup→select],to make sure the printing mode. Then press the print settings,the plotter will start to print the mode you setted.
Ⅴ.Print mode
The plotters select several kinds of print mode so that you can choose the best result between speed and quality. The mode will be become different depand to the type of software,color or single color print and the difference of medium you choosed. Every kind of print mode will effect the the print speed and quality,so you must be familiar with the differences between the modes.
Each kind of print mode will try to find a balance between the speed and quality,so the best mode can print out the best picture when the prictical speed and satisfy the most customers.
The print mode include color mode and print quality. The follow mode list is the init settings .
CMYK MODE(Color,gray scale and mono-color print)

1.Color mode
Colorful mode is a mode to print with color,gray scale,mono-color or four black colors.
Caustions : when you choose the four black color mode,you should assamble four cartridges with black ink.
2.To choose the color mode
⑴Please press [main menu→print modes→color modes].
⑵Press [select].
⑶Press [up] or [down] to show [Color]、[Mono]、[Gray]、4BLK.
⑷Press [select].
3. Quailty mode
There are four kinds of quality mode. Color mode and 4BLK mode are fit to this four printing quality modes.
[Draft]-This mode is always used when the speed is more important than the quality. [Super9]-the speed of this mode is two times as fast as the draft mode.it is not used to print the high quality pictures because it is single print mode.
[Normal]-This mode can supply faster and better effects than draft.
[Best]-It is used to print the vivid pictures when quality is more important than speed.
4.To choose print quality mode
⑴Press [setup menu→paper options→ margins].
⑵Press [select].
⑶Press [up] or [down]to find the type of margins you need;common or expanded.
⑷Press [select]
5.Margins setting
⑴press [setup menu→ paper options→ margins]
⑵Press [select].
⑶Press [up] or [down]to find the type og margins,common or ecpanded.
⑷Press [select].
6.Auto-wipe settings
⑴Press [setupmenu→paper options→auto-wipe].
⑵Press [select].
⑶Press [up] or [down] to find [off] or [on].
⑷Press [select].
Ⅵ.Save the user setup
1. Press [setup menu→usersetup→save user].
2. Press [select].
3. Press [up] or [down]to find the code that is fit with what you saved.
4. Press [select].
Ⅶ. Choose the units
1. Press [setup menu→user setup→ units].
2. Press [select].
3. Press [up]or [down] to find the units that you need,[english] or [metric].
4. Press [select] .
Ⅷ ink reduce settings
1. Press [setupmenu→HP-GL/2 Options→ink reduce].
2. Press [select]
3. Press [up] or [down] to find the percentage(0%、12.5%、25%、37.5% or 50%)
4. Press [select]
Test
1.Color test
⑴Press [utility menu→service menu→ dialog menu→color test] after you put the paper well.
⑵Press [select] twice.
⑶Make sure all the color lines are excellent.it means you use the right way to clean the cartridge.if it is not,please try to test again.
2.Cleaning test
⑴After load the medium,please press the [cut].press [up] or [down] until appear the [cleaning],then press [select].now you can print picture to test.the result of test is very smooth and without stripe.
⑵If you don’t satisfy with the result,please print several times to clear away the inkjet.
3.Colorless calibration
⑴Press [utility menu→ colorless calibration menu].
⑵Press [select].
⑶Press [up] or [down] to appear [color calibration test].
⑷Press [select].
⑸To check every kind of vertical lines and find the most straight line, then write down the calibration data at the bottom of the most straight line which you chose.Now the calibration data will be printed in the bottom right of testing picture.If it is necessary,you can adjust the data.
⑹Press [up] or [down] to find the color and speed you need(for example Y =7).
⑺Press[select].
4. Color vertical calibration
⑴Press[utility menu→ color calibration →print test] after you put the paper well,then press [select].
⑵Check the alignment number in the inkjets of test mode of the plotter.If they are aligned,it is right.otherwise it is wrong,so u should follow the next step to adjust the inkjets.[vertical-vertical test mode],choose the best adjustment data of cyan.
⑶To choose [utility menu→ color calibration→ c-vertical].
⑷Press[select].
⑸Check [point to point of vertical test mode ],then choose the best adjustment data of c-vertical.
⑹Choose the [point to point of horiz test mode ] to calibrate the every kind of color.
5.Y axis calibration
[Y axis calibration]will print a vertical mark to calibrate the Y axis. If you want to measure the marks,please use a standard ruler to measure.the length of it should be33inch(838.2mm).The distance between the vertical marks is 33.00inch(838.2mm).The distance between the vertical marks is not the same as the data showed in the screen,you can set up the data seemly with the length or width you measured.
Caution : please do the[Y axis calibration test] when you put the new medium.
6.Y axis test
⑴ Put the medium which is 36 inch(91cm).
⑵Press[utility menu→ paper calibration →paper axis test],then press [select],the plotter will print two marks.
⑶ Take out the medium and measure the distance between the two marks.The right distance should be 33.00inch(838.2mm).
⑷If the measure result is not 33.00inch,please choose paper axis.
⑸Press [select].
⑹Press [up] or [down],then adjust the data which is seem with the ruler you read,then press [select].
Select the type of media
⑴Press[setup menu→paper options→ supply].
⑵Press [up] or [down] to appear the type of media you need.
⑶Press [select].
Feed media
⑴Press [cut] and [up] or [down] until you find [feed media].
⑵Press [select].
⑶Press [up] or [down] to appear the direction of feed media,then press [select].
Move the cartridge
⑴Open the power supply ,then press [cut].
⑵Press [up] or [down] until you find [access cartridge].
⑶Press [select],then you can move the bracket to assemble, adjust and clean the cartridge.
⑷Press [select] again and put the cartridge back.
Assemble the cartridge
⑴Don’t tear off the blue tape before you are ready to clean the inkjet.
⑵Don’t touch the elastic surface of inkjet.
⑶Pull down the plastic cap on the injector .
⑷Put the needle of injector in the hole of cartridge.press it in the downward way,then pump from the forward about 1/8 .
⑸Inject the ink to the cartridge slowly.
⑹Cover the injector again.
⑺Put the cartridge vertically to prevent the ink poured out and put the cartridge in the bracket.
Caution :Don’t tear out the blue tape.
⑻Follow above steps to inject other cartridges.
Injector pumps the ink
1) Move the bracket to a place to clean them.
2) Put the needle of injector in the hole of ink pump.
3) Make sure the ink pump is vacuum pumping,then pump the ink through the injector.
4) When you are looking the ink from the side of ink pump,please take out the needle in the cartridge from the ink pump and put it in the top hole of cartridge.
5) Screw the soft pipe carefully to prevent it leaks air,but not too tight.
6) Tear out the blue tape on the cartridge.
7) Put the needle of injector in the top hole of cartridge,please be careful!the gradient cannot bigger than 30°.otherwise ,it will reducehe the pressure in the cartridge.
8) Make sure the connection between injector and inkjet is well.pump the injector 3-5 times until you can see the ink from the side of soft pipe.continue to keep this connection for 5 seconds.then take out the injector and clean it by absorbantcotton. before you start to operate the next cartridge,please remember to clean it by absorbant cotton.
9) Check whether the soft pipe is distorted or not.check whether the inkjet leaks the ink or not.
10) Put the cartridge back the bracket.
Common problem
1) To observe whether the ink in the bottle is enough to finish the picture you will print.
2) To observe the ink in the soft pipe is connected well.
3) To check whether the inkjet needs to clean.
4) To check rod ,the set of rod and data belt are clean.
5) To check whether the plastic roller and stepper motor are clean.
6) To check whether the plat table is clean ,brush and gasket are complete.
7) To check whether the type of ink is suitable with the customer required.
8) To check whether the voltage is stable.
9) Make sure the equipments are earth connection.
10) Check all the steps are well, then connect the power supply and pata cables well in the situation of the power supply is closed.
Why we need to connect the earth wire?
Make sure the earth wire is connected with earth protectively.Otherwise the screen will not work well and can’t operate.Because the static electricity can destroy the mainboard and electronic components,although you assemble the equipments to release the static will not take act.
How to pump the ink
When you are pumping the ink,you should connect the the metal pipe with the injector to exhaust the air,then plug the metal pipe in the cartridge and tear out the blue tape,one hand catch the top of cattridge to make the hole of cartridge lean 30°, then put it in the bracket.After you pump well ,you should touch the inkjet with a not roughed cloth .Then you should check around of cartridge to make sure it is clean.
How to maintain the axis?
1) Clean the axis with cleaning paper or cloth.(don’t use organic solvents)
2) Screw the small copper sets out at the ends of bracket,then clean it and assemble again.
