The process of American smart grid development can be divided into three stages: prior strategy research and planning period( year2001-2007), legislation and security period( year 2007-2009) and government-lead promotion period( year 2008 to now). American government has claimed to realize grid modernization update reform, as well as put forward five significant strategic actions including promoting grid technology, improving system security and renewable energy resources synchronization, enhancing grid safety and its anti-disaster ability, developing energy storage facilities and advancing system transmission. Now in the third stage, led by Department of Energy(DOE), since 2008 American relevant departments has taken a series of measures to promote construction of smart grid. In this period, one of the major theme is to try to apply power lithium battery into smart grid and improve renewable energy resources synchronization. |

机房中的计算机及网络设备在运行中散热量大而且集中,散湿量极小,散热量的95%是显热,热湿比极大,焓差小。在这种情况下,空气处理可近似作为一个等湿降温过程。
根据热的传播方式—传导、辐射、对流分析,疏散显热的最有效方式是对流,这就需要大量的冷风将热量带走。
集中空调主要考虑人体对环境的要求,不具备大风量。因此,集中空调方式就会出现虽然冷量够,但设备热量却散不出去的问题。集中空调是用风管送风,而非静压风库,送风均匀度较差,所以集中空调不适合在机房使用。

When computers and network devices in the computer rooms operate, they release much intensive heat, 95% of which is sensible heat, while little moisture. Under this circumstance with extremely high-humidity and low enthalpy, the process of air handling can be considered nearly as one of maintain the humidity and lowering the temperature.
In terms of the mode of transmission of heat, including conduction, radiation and convection analysis, the most effective way of dissipating sensible heat in convection, which requires plenty of cool air to transport heat away.
Central air conditioning mainly takes into account human body’s requirements for the environment and therefore lacks large volume of air. Consequently, there exists a problem that central air conditioning cannot release heat, despite that this mode could produce enough cool air. Central air conditioning delivers air through air duct instead of air with static pressure. Therefore, the degree of homogeneity of its delivering air is relatively low and makes it inappropriate to install central air conditioning in a computer room.
