- Furnace housing with non magnesium reactive insulation. Coverplate for the housing with sealing
to the crucible brim.
- Single chamber crucible made of hot rolled steel with 18 mm Kesselblech HI + 4mm 1.4828 as
outer heatresistant layer. Crucible brim with stainless steel bolts to fix the cover plate of the
crucible.
- Inspection windows in the housing to check the heating and crucible.
- Chimneys at the back end of the furnace with insulated outlet.
- Coverplates made of stainless steel for the crucible incl. flange for the pump.
- Supports for thermocouples with protective tubes.
- Ingot feeding device and the rear end of the crucible.
- Circulation unit for the melt
- Level detection system
- 4 pcs. medium speed burners at the rear end of the housing.
The length of the flame is 150 – 200 mm. The combustion gases have a high turbulence during
and after the burn out. This provides a homogen temperature profile over the whole crucible with
a perfect heattransfer through the crucible and into the melt.
Every burner has an analog drive motor to provide a modulating power adjustment.
Due to the intelligent burnercontrol it is not necessary to purge the combustion chamber before
starting or increasing the power.
Purging is only necessary after emergency off or heting off.
For a fast temperature decrease of the melt the combustion chamber can be purged with air only.

Pos. 2: SYPHON TUBE FOR TRANSFER OF MAGNESIUM
The siphon tube transfers the magnesium from the first melting furnace to the casting furnace.
The siphon tube is equipped with a heating and filled with a vacuum pump.
Principle of operation:
The tube is installed in both furnaces. At this time the tube is not filled with magnesium. A vacuum
pump incorporates a vacuum in the tube and the magnesium is lifted into the tube. After filling of the
tube the magnesium starts to flow according the principle of communicating vessels. The vacuum
connection is automatically blocked by frozen magnesium.
To empty the tube the magnesium in the vacuum connecting point is molten by a small heating. Air
streams into the tube and the magnesium flows automatically out of the tube.
Description of siphon tube:
- Mounting flanges for the tube on the cover plate of the furnace
- Siphon tube with insulation and heating elements
- Vacuum connection in the middle of the siphon tube.
- Thermocouples to measure the temperature of the tubes and to control the temperature of the

操作原理：
管安装在两炉上。这个时候的虹吸管还没填充镁。真空泵吸收管里的真空，将镁输入管中。虹吸管填充满后，根据连通器的原理，镁开始流动。真空连接将自动地被冷冻镁阻塞。
为了疏通虹吸管，真空连接点里的镁，小量加热熔化。空气进入管中，镁将自动地流出虹吸管。
虹吸管的说明：
— 在熔炉的盖板上为虹吸管安装法兰
— 虹吸管配有保温盒加热元件
— 真空接合位于虹吸管的中部
— 热电偶用于测量管的温度，并控制镁的温度
