放电加工对复杂形状的加工、模具制造、或传统加工法难以克服的材料上,一直扮演着重要的角色。虽放电技术之发展已超过五十年的历史,但因影响加工结果的条件相当复杂又相互关连,仍有待更深入探讨。
本文则以实用的观点,利用自行设计的电极旋转装置及圆盘状电极,模仿卧式平面磨床的加工方式,对SKD-11冷加工用模具钢进行表面放电研磨,以探讨这种加工方式对表面特性影响。经实验结果发现,放电研磨加工方式具有下列优点：(1)电极消耗率低(2)加工时间短(3)不会发生放电集中或短路情形(4)工件表面粗糙度可达(≈0.4 μm Ra)。

The electric discharge machining has been playing the important role on the processing of complex shape, mould making or materials which are difficult to achieve by the traditional processing methods. Although development of the electric discharge technology has a more than fifty years’ history, because the conditions of affecting processing results are quite complex and correlated, further discussion is still expected. From the practical viewpoint, this article discuss the influence of this processing way to surface features by cold working of SKD-11and electric discharge lapping of its surface by die steel, imitating the processing way of horizontal surface grinders by utilizing self-designed electrode turning gears and disk electrode. This experiment finds out the processing way of discharging lapping has the following advantages:（1）Low rate of electrode consumption (2) short process time (3) no occurrence of electric discharge centralism or short circuit (4) surface roughness of work pieces may reach 0.4 μm Ra.
