1、科技是人类文明进步的动力源泉。古老的中国，曾在世界科技史上占有重要地位。今天的中国人民，不仅与全世界共享科技文明的成果，也在各个领域推动世界科技的进步。科技奥运将反应科技最新进展，集成全国科技创新成果，推出一届高科技含量的体育盛会。
2、随着我们逐渐走向老龄化社会，我们需要建立一套完整地为老年人服务的社区保障体系。我们社会主义市场经济体制的建立和发展，也要求我们改革和完善社会福利保障体制，而这又对社区服务提出了更高的要求。随着政府职能的转变，原来由政府承担的社区服务工作，有很大一部分将逐步转移到社会团体和民间组织。一方面，政府的宏观管理责任变得更加重大；另一方面，社会团体和民间组织需要参与更多的社区服务。
3、目前，在中国对于IDU的社会工作，主要是从公共卫生的角度出发，进行一些IDU可接受的行为干预，诸如提供清洁的一次性针具、美沙酮治疗、降低毒品伤害知识培训，一部分地区开展了建立支持性环境工作。但是，对于IDU善后照顾、回归社会、消除社会歧视等工作还处于待探索阶段。而长久以来所形成的来自主流社会对IDU的歧视在短期内是不可能自行消除的，如果不加强消除社会歧视这方面的工作，强大的社会歧视将加剧人群更加边缘化。 |

1、The progress of human civilization springs from technology. Ancient China, was considered to be of great importance in the history of world’s technology while today’s China is sharing the fruits of technology with the world as well as putting an impetus to the development of world technology. High-tech Olympic Games will be a reflection of the latest technological progress, a gathering of technological innovations nationwide and thus will be a grand sports meeting fully supported by high-technology.
2、As we are entering the aging society, we need to establish a whole set of community security system for the old. Furthermore, the establishment and development of our socialist market economy urges us to reform and improve the community security system, which in turn level up the standard for community service. With the changing of government functions, most of the community service, for which the government used to take responsibility, will be transferred to be in charge of social groups and NGOs. On one hand, the government becomes increasingly responsible for the macro-control; on the other hand, social groups and NGOs need a greater involvement into the community service.

The current social work on IDU in China, in terms of public health, mainly lies on some behavior interventions acceptable to IDU groups, such as offering clean and disposable injection instruments, methadone treatments, courses on relieving drug hurt and constructing a supportive environment in some areas.
However, in aspects of IDU rehabilitation, remelting into society and elimination of social prejudice on IDU, the work remains to be explored.
Furthermore, the prejudice on IDU which has been formed by the majority of society during a long span of time is too entrenched to be self-eliminated in short term. If the work on elimination of social prejudice isn’t intensified, IDU group will be further marginalized due to the powerful social prejudice.

Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind. These passions, like great winds, have blown me hither and thither, in a wayward course, over a deep ocean of anguish, reaching to the very verge of despair.
I have sought love, first, because it brings ecstasy –ecstasy so great that I would often have sacrificed all the rest of life for a few hours of this joy. I have sought it, next, because it relieves loneliness--that terrible loneliness in which one shivering consciousness looks over the rim of the world into the cold unfathomable lifeless abyss. I have sought it, finally, because in the union of love I have seen, in a mystic miniature, the prefiguring vision of the heaven that saints and poets have imagined. This is what I sought, and though it might seem too good for human life, this is what- at last- I have found.
With equal passion I have sought knowledge. I have wished to understand the hearts of men. I have tried to apprehend the Pythagorean power by which number holds sway above the flu. A little of this, but not much, I have achieved.
Love and knowledge, so far as they were possible, led upward toward the heavens. But always pity brought me back to earth. Echoes of cries of pain reverberate in my heart. Children in famine, victims tortured by oppressors, helpless old people a hated burden to their sons, and the whole world of loneliness, poverty, and pain make a mockery of what human life should be. I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot, and I too suffer.
This has been my life. I have found it worth living, and would gladly live it again if the chance were offered me. |

有三种情感，说来简单，却又强烈异常，决定了我的人生。一是，对爱情的渴望；二是，对知识的追逐；三是对人类的苦难极度的同情。这三种情感，正如一阵强风，让我飘摇在痛苦的汪洋，忽东忽西，反复无常，一点一点靠近绝望的彼岸。
我追求爱情，首先，是因为它让我欣喜若狂，如此的欣喜若狂，常常让我愿意献上我的整整下半生的光阴，只为片刻的爱情。我追求爱情，其次，是因为它让我不再寂寞。那种可怕的寂寞，人一旦陷入，就像透过世界的边缘，往那冰冷的、无底的、死气沉沉的深渊里看，害怕得发抖。我追求爱情，再次，是因为在爱情里，不可思议地，我提前看到了天堂的缩影，那个圣人们和诗人们梦想的天堂。虽然对于人类来说，这似乎太过于美好，但这就是我之前所追求的，也是我最终所得到的。
