China's Central Military Commission has issued the “Guidelines on Enhancing Military Information Security under New Situations”, approved by Chairman Hu Jintao.
The Guidelines based on Deng’s theory and concepts of “the three representatives”, implements scientific development as well as setting out an overall arrangement to advance military information security work, in accordance with the current security issues and adapting new situations facing China’s armed forces. The deployment sets out to enhance military security protection and the safeguard system.
The Guideline stressed the importance of information security as it is an objective requirement for national defense and modernization in the information age. To elevate the capability of information security is critical to military conflicts, and constructing information safeguard system is an urgent task for informationizational development. New strategies and measures should be taken to implement scientific and security developing concepts. Meanwhile, innovations in developing information safeguard system to enhance informationization advancement guarantees for the national defense and the modernization of the armed forces.
