Poem of goldfish
The beauty of fish, so elegant as a lightsome swan, so graceful as the goddess of River Luo, is recognized by people with one accord, while its origin and brilliant history in China are rarely known. Originating from red-scale crucian carp, experiencing release in ancient temple, favoritism in palace and fostering among the ordinary people, goldfish has a splendid history for more than one thousand years. We extol it highly and admire its beauty. The ancients prized it as “Auspicious Creature”, modern people describe it as “National Treasure” and name it as “Moving Art”. Goldfish is so splendid and magnificent that to prize it as the national fish is a uniform heart anticipated by both the trade and the nation. Though there are many hardships, jointly we still want to conquer them and protect it, making its name well known to the world not as Pet fish of China, but as the Chinese National Fish, like burning rainbow and daylight.
Sun is shining with light illuminating the world. The color of goldfish is dazzling with its noble character overflowing China.
