总序
金戈铁马战关山，负剑持犁耕大漢。
身披沙场的盔甲，拖着躯体上的弹痕，来及品味家的温馨，在塔里木河畔濯洗征尘，这支战功显赫的部队，锄戈同功，开始创造中国屯垦戍边的崭新历史。一手拿镐，是生产队，一手拿枪，是战斗队，一方维稳，又是工作队。几十年来，几代人吟唱着《南泥湾》，肩负屯垦戍边使命，作经济的建设大军，作边疆稳定的铜墙铁壁，作守卫国土的中流砥柱。一座三五九旅屯垦纪念馆，承载不下一师人的报国情怀，记录不尽用铁血砺炼的三五九旅精神、塔里木精神！
本世纪初，一师阿拉尔市开始着手筹建“三五九旅屯垦纪念馆”。2008年6月，由法国夏邦杰建筑设计事务所设计，国家、师市和中国电力投资集团总公司共同斥资5000余万元的纪念馆主体工程竣工，展馆建筑面积7000余平方米，有效展陈面积5800平方米。经过近两年文物征集和馆内展陈设计施工，于2009年10月1日正式开馆。
整个纪念馆，以三五九旅的历史基本递进线索为脉络，以重要人物，重大历史事件为切入点，通过文物展陈、图片记录、文字叙述、场景还原、艺术造型和声光电等技术手段，多轴线同步表现，在馆外广场，甬道和馆内的一、二层空间，共设八个展陈主题：一、西域屯垦，渊源流长（入馆甬道）；二、英雄部队，功勋卓著；三、艰苦创业，屯垦荒原；四、五湖四海，投身兵团；五、建设大军，铸就辉煌；六、中流砥柱，铜墙铁壁；七、建设城市，勾画家园；八构建和谐，奔向小康。

Preface
Just warred in mountain passes with shining spears and armored horses, Getting engaged in reclaiming wasteland
Wearing battle armors and bullets on bodies, soldiers washed dust which settled on them during a journey by the side of the Tarim River with no time to taste the family warmth. The troops which achieved miraculous feats in battle began to create new miracles of cultivating and guarding border areas with ploughs and spears. As a production team, they held the pickaxes, as a combat team they held the guns and as a work team they kept the local stability. Over the past decades, as a main force of economic construction, an impregnable fortress for maintaining the stability in border areas and a mainstay for guarding the homeland, chanting Nanni Bay, generations assumed the mission of cultivating and guarding border areas. No.359 Brigade Memorial using troops to open up uncultivated land is not sufficient to carry patriotic feelings of No.1 Agricultural Division, or record the spirit of No. 359 Brigade and Tarim tested by arms and blood-war.
At the beginning of this century, No.1 Agricultural Division/Alaer City began to establish “No.359 Brigade Memorial Using Troops to Open up Uncultivated Land”. In June, 2008, the principal part of the memorial, which was designed by Arte Charpentier Architectes, France, and jointly invested in by the state, division/city and China Power Investment Corporation with a capital of over 50 million Yuan, was completed. It has an exhibition area of more than 7000 square meters, including a useable exhibition area of 5800 square meters. This memorial formally opened on October 1, 2009 after collection of cultural relics, design and construction for two years.
Taking progressive clues of No. 359 Brigade as the thread, important persons and major events as the breakthrough point, the entire memorial features comprehensive presentation with cultural relic exhibition, picture records, written narrative, scene restoration, ornamental mould, sound, photo-electricity synchronization. Eight themes in the square, corridors and on the first and second floors: 1. Stationing troops to open up wasteland Long-standing and well-established (corridor); 2.
