WELCOME TO ELLIPSE INSTITUTE
Registered as a private training establishment by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).
This Institute was founded 13 years ago and was operating as Ellipse Health and Beauty Training School. At that time we were totally focused on Health and Beauty training.
However in 2004 the board and management decided that there was a need to expand and diversify into other areas of training. Accordingly a decision was reached that the name of the school be changed more appropriately to Ellipse Institute.
Ellipse Institute is a signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.

INTRODUCTION TO ELLIPSE INSTITUTE
Ellipse Institute was established in 1995. The Head Office is located at 665 Dominion Road, Balmoral, Auckland.
Ellipse Institute is registered and accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) to offer Units, Certificates and Diplomas to level 6.
Courses are offered in Beauty and Body Therapy, Computing, Business and ESOL, which are NZQA approved and accredited.
Ellipse Institute is funded by students fees and some Student Achievement Component funding for one fee paying course for NZ citizens and residents. Ellipse has a limited number of places for NZ citizens and residents on that course with a maximum of 55 eligible students able to access loans and allowances from StudyLink.
It has dedicated Staff and Contractors and is managed by the owner.
The interests of the local community and industry are represented on the Advisory Boards by professional people who promote local needs and interests to the Team.

ACCOMMODATION
Ellipse Institute will help you obtain suitable accommodation but does not accept responsibility for it. We may refer you to a specialist accommodation agent. If you have any questions or problems about accommodation, please contact our Director or Administration Manager. Six kinds of accommodation are available. Please look at the student handbook for details.
TRANSPORT SERVICES
Ellipse Institute maintains a fleet of buses and vans and provides transport services for students to and from classes and on Student outings. A weekly fee is charged for this service. It is currentlly priced at $20 per week.
ORIENTATION
During Orientation, an information pack will be made available. This includes:
• a list of emergency staff contact numbers
• maps of Auckland and New Zealand (international students)
• visitor information (international students)
• Student Handbook
• an introduction to New Zealand society, including information about the Treaty of Waitangi, the agreement signed in 1840 between Maori and the British government
ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE SUPPORT
Additional help with English, literacy or numeracy is available. If this is needed we expect to discuss it with you when you enrol. But you are also welcome to discuss it with your tutor at any time.
INTERNAL SUPPORT
Requests for support can be made through the Director or Administration Manager for:
• advice about anything to do with Ellipse Institute operations
• help and advice about any learning problem
• financial advice
• advice about and contact with welfare organisations in Auckland
• advice on Ellipse Institute procedures for dealing with grievances or complaints
• help with searching for and applying for a job (this includes providing a course completion certificate)
EXTERNAL SUPPORT
Ellipse provides a list of key welfare organisations in Auckland. Ask one of our management team to help you make contact with them.

Applicants under 20 years of age must have a minimum of: 14 numeracy credits at level 1 or above in Mathematics on the National Qualifications Framework; and
50 credits at level 2 or above with at least 12 credits in each of three subjects, including a minimum of eight literacy credits at level 2 or above in English of which at least four credits are in reading and four credits are in writing; or the equivalent of the above.
International students for whom English is not their first language, must also have an IELTS score of 6.0 (academic) with no individual band lower than 5.5 or TOEFL score of 550, or provide evidence of previous English language study at level 4 in either General English (Advanced) or Business English, or equivalent evidence of English language proficiency.
AIM OF THE COURSE:
The New Zealand Diploma in Business is a nationally-recognized course and qualification that allows students to gain a broad range of general business skills and knowledge followed by an opportunity to focus on career related options such as accountancy, banking, management and marketing.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
SELECTION FOR A COURSE: INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
For applicants not treated as New Zealand citizens or residents the application process is more complicated. International students must be aged 18 or over and hold a student permit to study at Ellipse Institute for one of our approved courses. For all Ellipse Institute courses one important minimum entry requirement is an IELTS overall band score of 5.0 for certificate courses but diploma courses have higher entry requirements. If you need tuition to help you reach that level, we can help you find a suitable course. In that case you will need to complete a course in English before you begin study for another qualification at Ellipse Institute.
ENROLMENT PROCESS
Here are the stages in the process:
• Ask for full details about the course you are interested in.
• Complete the application form provided with our brochure and supply key information about yourself:
• personal details, photocopies of certificates, with translations into English, if necessary (all copied documents must be certified as true copies by a Solicitor, Notary Public, Justice of the Peace, or Commissioner of Oaths)
• certified evidence of your level of English
• the application fee and the total tuition fees for the year
If you meet the entry criteria for the course, we will send you a letter headed ‘Offer of Study Place’ (if a course is already full, you will be invited to enrol for a later course). At this time we also send a copy of the Student Handbook and the Course Handbook, if you have not already received them. The ‘Offer of Study Place’ lists conditions which you must meet before your study place is confirmed - one condition is that you sign our Tuition Contractual Agreement.
Use our ‘Offer of Study Place’ letter to apply for a student permit. We cannot accept you without a student permit or visa which states that you will study for an approved course at Ellipse Institute. All our approved courses are listed on the NZQA website. To obtain a valid passport and student permit you must provide the New Zealand Immigration Service (NZIS) with all of the following:
• signed NZIS application form
• Application fee of NZ $150, please check the Immigration NZ website. Fee may change.
• Passport valid until at least three months past the date when you plan to leave NZ
• A recent passport-sized photograph
• Evidence of financial support while in NZ ($10,000 for living expenses for a 36-week year, plus funds for air fares)
• $1,000 a month for living expenses, if studying for less than 36 weeks
• An offer of a study place from a registered NZ provider such as the Ellipse Institute
• Evidence that you have paid your fees for the first year
• Evidence of a guarantee of accommodation in Auckland
• An outline of the course you wish to follow in NZ
• For people over 17, a police certificate
• For people studying for more than two years, a medical and x-ray certificate
• Any other documents or information required by the immigration officer
Further advice can be obtained from our agent or the NZIS, as explained in the statements below.
International students must then send Ellipse Institute the following:
• a certified copy of their student permit
• a signed Tuition Contractual Agreement form
• certified evidence of medical and travel insurance
When you send us evidence that you have met all our conditions we send you a ‘Confirmation of Study Place’ letter. This means that a study place is reserved for you.
Enrolment is completed when you arrive at Ellipse Institute. At this time credit transfers are considered and you may be asked to sit an English Entry Test. The test will help us to place you in the correct English class or, if you have enrolled for a course other than English, the test will enable us to discover whether you need additional English tuition or whether you need to study English full time before beginning another course.
DECLINED COURSE APPLICATIONS
Applications may be declined for one or more of the following reasons:
• the applicant does not meet the entry criteria
• fees have not been paid
• the applicant needs help with literacy and numeracy before entering the desired course
• the applicant may need to attend an English course in order to raise his/her English rating to IELTS 5.0 or higher
• Ellipse Institute is unable to run the course - e.g. because student numbers are too low
• an application for a Student Visa has been declined
NOTES
IMMIGRATION
Full details of visa and permit requirements, advice on rights to employment in New Zealand while studying, and reporting requirements are available through the New Zealand Immigration Service, and can be viewed on their website at www.immigration.govt.nz.
MEDICAL AND TRAVEL INSURANCE
International students must have appropriate and current medical and travel insurance while studying in New Zealand.
We recommend that you obtain medical and travel insurance from Orbit Protect and we can provide details of Orbit Protect policies - but you are free to choose your own insurer.
ELIGIBILITY FOR HEALTH SERVICES
Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health, and can be viewed in their website at www.moh.govt.nz
ACCIDENT INSURANCE
The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed on the ACC website at www.acc.govt.nz

我院经新西兰职业资格认证处（NCQA）审查通过，是一所注册在案的职业技能培训私校。
我院开办于14年前，最初被称为“伊利伯斯健康美容培训学院”。我们当时的工作重点也主要放在对于健康养生和美容方面人才的培养。
在2004年，校方做出决定。认为我们应该扩展培训的范围和领域，要秉持多样性的理念。由此，为了符合此项办学宗旨，我们的也更名为“伊利伯斯学院”。
伊利伯斯学院是《留学生管理条例》（Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students）的签约院校之一。

伊利伯斯学院简介
伊利伯斯学院于1995年正式开始招生办学。我院总部地址为：665 Dominion Road, Balmoral, Auckland
我院经新西兰职业资格认证处（NZQA）授权注册。并获准向学员颁发六级培训证书及学位。
我们开设的课程主要涵盖美容美体，计算机，商务以及对外英语课程（非英语母语）。这些课程都得到了新西兰资格认证处的批准。
伊利伯斯学院的资金主要依靠学生缴付的学费以及学生成就基金的支持。学生成就基金为新西兰公民和侨民开设了一门免费，但我院在该课程的名额限制有限。最多只能有55名学生获取学生福利部（StudyLink）提供的贷款或者补助。
由创建人亲自管理，师资团队乐于奉献。
专业的校董顾问团，由专业人士为当地社区与产业的发展建言献策。
法律地位
伊利伯斯学院下属迪恩国际（Dean’s International Ltd）。迪恩国际是一家在新西兰职业资格认证处注册的私人培训机构，符合89年教育法案的相关要求，属有限责任制公司。

住宿
伊利伯斯学院可以协助你寻找适宜的住所，但我院不会负责住宿问题的解决。我们可能会介绍您到专业的住宿中介机构寻求帮助。如果就此您有任何疑惑或问题，请与我们的主管或经理取得联系。共有六种住宿类型可供选择，详情请见学生手册。
接送服务
伊利伯斯学院拥有一支属于自己的公交及货车队，用以为学生提供来往学校之间、或郊游的接送服务。此项服务按周收费，目前的收费标准为每周20澳元。
环境适应
在适应期，我们将提供一份资料袋。其中包括：

2） 英语初级（非英语母语）（一级）

本课程只在培养语言的四项基本技能，开发在新西兰就业的机会并未将来在英语方面更深层次的深造做好准备。

入学要求：
申请人年龄不得超过20周岁。并须拥有：国家职业资格教学大纲下数学计算一级14个学分；以及二级课程的50个学分，其中每门主课须有至少12个学分。主课学分中需包含至少8分二级英语文学学分，这八分中又需包含至少4分阅读学分和4分写作学分；或者其他相等效力学分。
非英语母语的外籍学生必须持有雅思6.0（学术），同时单项成绩不低于5.5；或托福550；或者提供之前学习四级课程：通用英语高级或商务英语的相关证明；或者其他具有相同效力的英语能力证明。
课程目标：

六. 国际学生注册
课程选择： 外籍申请人
与新西兰本土居民不同，外籍人士的申请流程会更为复杂一些。外籍学生需年满18周岁，并持有来伊利伯斯学院学习的许可。在伊利伯斯学院，一个重要的要求就是雅思的成绩。证书类课程需要有5.0。而学位类课程则有更高的要求。如果你需要报名参加相关课程来提高自己的雅思成绩，我们可以帮你找寻合适您需要的课程项目。
招生流程
整个流程分为如下几个环节：
• 咨询您感兴趣课程的具体细节
• 完成随介绍手册附带的申请表，并提供您个人的相关信息
• 个人细节：所获证书的电子版本，若有需要请译成英语。（所有的文件复印件必须由律师、公证处、治安法官或监誓员认证）
• 提供英语能力等级证书
• 缴纳报名费以及学费
如果您符合您选择课程的入学要求，我们会在审查之后给您寄出一封“名额保留函”（如果该课程已经满员，则我们会发出通知邀请您报名参加稍后开班的班级。）此时，如果之前您没有收到我们的学生手册以及课程手册，我们也将会随信附上。名额保留函上会例举在您被录取之前应完成的相关事项。其中一项是需要您签署我们的学业保证协议。
带上我们的“名额保留函”在大使馆申请所需的留学许可。若没有留学许可或留学签证，则我院不能接纳您来我院就读任何课程。我们所有的课程在新西兰职业资格认证处（NZQA）的网站上都有显示。要获得护照及有效留学许可，您需要向新西兰移民管理处（NZIS）提交如下资料：
• 填写完整的新西兰移民管理处的申请表
• 申请费用为150澳元，详情请见新西兰移民处的网站，费用可能略有浮动
• 保证在您离开新西兰前，您的护照至少还有三个月的有效期
• 一张护照照片尺寸的近照
• 在新期间的资产证明（一万澳元，包括三十六周的生活费以及机票费用）
• 新西兰校方（如伊利伯斯学院）开具的名额保留函
• 第一年学费缴清的证明票据
• 在奥克兰住宿保障证明
• 在新期间所学课程的大纲
• 如果申请人年满17周岁，需持警方开具的证明
• 如果申请人学习时间超过两年，则需另提供体检报告和X光片
• 其他移民官要求的文件

外籍学生在申请许可成功后应将下列文件寄至我校：
• 经公证过的留学许可复印件
• 填写完成并附签名的学业保证协议
• 经公证过的体检及旅游保险证明
在收到了所有相关文件之后，我们会发出一封名额保留确认函。收到此函就证明您在我校学习的位置已得到保留。
在您到达伊利伯斯学院之后，整个招生流程就正式完成了。在这之后，我们可以开始审议转学分的事宜。而您也可能会接收一项入学英语能力测试，这项测试会帮助我们对您的英语分班情况提供一个参考。如果您选择的不是英语类课程，这项考试也会让我们知道您是否需要参加额外的英语课程或者在正式开始课程学习前，参加全日制的英语提高班。
申请遭拒
申请人的申请可能由于如下原因而被拒：
• 申请人不符合入学要求
• 并未缴清相关费用
• 在开始课程学习之前，申请人的语言或计算能力尚不达标
• 申请人需要参加相应的英语提高班来将雅思成绩提高至5.0或更高
• 伊利伯斯学院出于某种原因取消了某课程，如招生人数过低等
• 若申请人申请留学许可遭拒

When gifted with the added ENFJ ability to intuitively adapt their feelings to the way they are affected by others, the ENFJ has a positive drive to find co-operative pathways leading to the best possible outcome for all, including themselves. Success for an ENFJ comes through involvement in the process of making things happen for people; through the accomplishments and satisfactions of those they have helped to enrich the human world with greater value, and through finding that their efforts on behalf of others have fulfilled their own life as well.
Allowing Your ENFJ Strengths to Flourish
As an ENFJ, you have gifts that are specific to your personality type that aren't natural strengths for other types. By recognizing your special gifts and encouraging their growth and development, you will more readily see your place in the world, and be more content with your role.
Nearly all ENFJs will recognize the following characteristics in themselves. They should embrace and nourish these strengths:
• Making others feel valued and important
• Quickly seeing the positive and negative aspects of a human situation
• Expressing their feelings clearly
• Offering loyalty and commitment to partners, family and work mates
• Trying to always find the solution which works for everyone
• Encouraging humour and self expression in others

ENFJs who have developed their Introverted Intuition to the extent that they can see the possibilities within their perceptions will enjoy these very special gifts:
• Understanding and empathising with the feelings of others; realising “where they are coming from”.
• A talent for creative expression which can turn ordinary things and situations into something magical.
• An enhanced feeling of connection with and sensitivity to the world around them.
• The ability to see many facets of a problem and the many ways it might be resolved for the best.

• They become increasingly creative, visionary and empathetic, and are therefore effective and kind managers of businesses, people, and various situations that life presents.
Potential Problem Areas
With any gift of strength, there is an associated weakness. Without "bad", there would be no "good". Without "difficult", there would be no "easy". We value our strengths, but we often curse and ignore our weaknesses. To grow as a person and get what we want out of life, we must not only capitalize upon our strengths, but also face our weaknesses and deal with them. That means taking a hard look at our personality type's potential problem areas.
Most of the weaker characteristics found in ENFJs are due to their dominant Extraverted Feeling overvaluing what they see as objective values in the external world and thereby judging too much by the needs of others, or by appearances. This is primarily due to the ENFJ having not fully adapted their Introverted Intuitive function sufficiently for them to be able to discern the vast range of ways in which they might be being missing the underlying needs within themselves and being misled by such appearances. The ENFJ naturally looks outward to find value and satisfaction, and whilst it is essential that this direction be taken to fulfil their primary needs of relation and comfort, without the supportive balance of a well developed Intuitive function, ENFJs can overvalue the external world to the point where they lose sight of themselves, becoming fixed in their judgements about people and the world. In such cases, the ENFJ will tend to live in a rigid - and to others, somewhat surreal - world of definite values which often seems “overstated” or obsessively connected to other people or human situations.

问题潜存领域
